Keurig B60 Special Edition Gourmet Single-Cup Home-Brewing System

Let me count the ways. Large water reservoir. Auto on/off programming. Large selection of coffees, teas, and cocoas. No mess. Hot beverage in about a minute. Ability to use tall travel mugs or an iced-tea glass because of the removable drip tray.

We purchased the Ultimate B66 version of this coffee brewer (I think it's identical to the B60 except it comes with several boxes of K-cups and the My K-Cup insert) in January. My husband drinks coffee, I do not. Previously, he would brew a pot of coffee only on weekends and end up throwing out at least a third of it. Now he can start each morning with a cup or two of whatever type of coffee he chooses. He says the coffee tastes fine to him. I can't comment on its quality, or respond to those who say the brewer makes a weak cup of coffee, as I don't drink it. I have enjoyed both types of hot cocoa K-cups I've tried (Gloria Jean's and Green Mountain), and the teas (so far, Mandarin orange spice, black, and Cranberry Twist green tea, which is wonderful when iced).

Even though the cups can be expensive (one reason I've given the system a 4-star rating instead of a 5-star), to us it is worth the expense for my husband to get a fresh, hot cup of coffee every time and for me to have my choice of teas and cocoa. I was able to use the Cranberry Twist green tea cup twice for iced tea and still get a flavorful glassful each time, which cuts the cost per cup for us. The fact that I don't have to stir my cocoa to dissolve it (I haven't had the problem of undissolved cocoa mix remaining in the K-cup; I shake the cup to loosen the contents before I put it in the brewer and rotate it to puncture an extra hole in the K-cup) gives me the ability to quickly make a small travel mug of cocoa in the mornings right before I go to work.

If you want a quick, no-mess way to make single-serving cups of coffees, teas, and cocoas, the Keurig Special Edition B60 is for you. We have had none of the problems mentioned by other reviewers (no extra-loud noise or vibrations on the counter when the pump is filling with water--that could be because we use the auto-on/off feature so the brewer is all ready when we want to make our hot beverages in the morning; no dripping or leaking). Keurig could improve the system by making the K-cups a bit less expensive and recyclable.

So, Keurig, I love thee to the level of every day's most quiet need, by sun and candlelight.
